VIDEO: Cubs Fans' Celebrations From A Mile Away And 42 Stories Up
CHICAGO (CBS) -- After waiting 108 years for a World Series championship, it should be no surprise Cubs fans' celebrations could be heard all over the city, even from dozens of stories above the streets.
Patrick DeCori was watching the game with his girlfriend in their condo near Lake Shore Drive and Irving Park Road. When the game ended in an 8-7 win for the Cubs and the first World Series championship for the franchise since 1908, the celebration was on.
"High-fiving each other, jumping around and shouting at the top of our collective lungs ... CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!" DeCori said.
He soon noticed something even louder coming from outside, as the sound of thousands of celebrating Cubs fans was audible even from the 42nd-floor condo, nearly a mile away from Wrigley Field, so he grabbed his smartphone and started recording from his window.

DeCori posted the four-minute video on YouTube. As fireworks go off all over the city and cars honk their horns on the streets below, you can even hear Cubs fans singing "Go Cubs, Go."
"I wish I had a better video recorder," DeCori said. "Clearly, I'll have to get one before next season."
