FBI Forensic Program Manager Paul Rettig testified as the jury watched side-by-side surveillance video from the Dunkin' Donuts on 41st and Pulaski and a squad car dash cam. The jury this afternoon for the first time saw footage of McDonald being shot.
One video showed Van Dyke's vehicle stopped, while the other camera showed McDonald being shot.
Officers are seen on camera walking slowly around the squad cars after the shooting is over. No one comes to McDonald's aid as he lies motionless on the ground.
Van Dyke's lawyer, Daniel Herbert, said the low-quality of the video footage could affect the accuracy of what's seen on camera.

Now-retired Chicago police Sgt. Lance Becvar testified that there was no audio in the dashboard cam video that captured the shooting because the microphones were in the glove compartment of the police car.
Only two of the five police cars at the scene of the shooting had recording capabilities, Becvar testified. One of the car's memory systems ran out of space, another had a problem with its power supply and the third car had a computer glitch, he said.
No video footage from Van Dyke's has been produced.

Before the shooting, officer McElligott was first to encounter McDonald.

The murder trial of Chicago police Officer Jason Van Dyke will remain in Chicago after the judge Monday denied the change of venue request from Van Dyke's defense attorneys.
Opening statements are now underway.
Van Dyke, 40, chose a jury trial on Friday instead of leaving the decision of his guilt or innocence up to a judge.
Van Dyke's attorneys had asked the court for months to move the trial because of the high-publicity the case has received, but Judge Vincent Gaughan refused those requests at the start of Monday's court hearing.
