Cooler temps, more wind on the way in the Chicago area

Cooler temps coming for Chicago area on Sunday

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cool changes are on the way with two cold fronts headed our way.

The first will cross our area overnight with a slim chance of a stray shower along it between midnight and 4 a.m. However, the system has very limited moisture along it. So rain chances are very minor, favoring areas near the Wisconsin borderline.

The more noticeable change will be the cool winds that develop behind the front. West winds on Sunday may gust to 30 miles per hour.

The second cold front brings a reinforcing shot of cool air for Monday. More seasonable temperatures are expected, with highs in the upper 60s.

There will still be plenty of sunshine through next weekend. Another warm air mass builds over our region by the end of the workweek.

TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY & BREEZY. LOW 63. STRAY SHOWER?

SUNDAY: SUNNY, WINDY & COOLER. HIGH 74.

MONDAY: SUNNY & COOLER. HIGH 68.
