Uber Driver Carjacked In Lakeview
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Uber driver was knocked to the ground by a carjacker Monday night in the Lakeview neighborhood.
Police said the 35-year-old woman was standing outside her car in the 700 block of West Sheridan Road around 8:30 p.m. when a man approached, implied he had a weapon, and demanded her vehicle.
The man then knocked the woman to the ground, and stole her car, police said.
The car's license plate number was broadcast over police radios, and the car was found abandoned in the 3200 block of North Lake Shore Drive.
The woman refused medical attention. A description of the suspect was not available Tuesday morning.
