Two Shot In Woodlawn Neighborhood

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men are in serious condition after being shot Saturday afternoon in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

Both were shot at 12:56 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Maryland Avenue, police News Affairs Jose Estrada said, citing preliminary information.

One man, 23, suffered a gunshot wound to the back. The other, 21, was shot in the leg, Estrada said. Both were taken in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition, Estrada added.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
