Two More Victims Accuse Woodstock Man Of Sexual Assault
WOODSTOCK, Ill. (STMW) -- A northwest suburban man already charged with sex-related crimes against several women he met on Craigslist was charged Monday with attacking two more victims.
Charles R. Oliver, 45, of the 400 block of West Greenwood Avenue in Woodstock, faces two new counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and two new counts of criminal sexual assault, according to Woodstock police.
As of Feb. 10, Oliver was being held in the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility on a $3.5 million bond on numerous sex-related charges, police said. For the most recent charges, bond was set at an additional $500,000.
Oliver was initially arrested Jan. 28, 2013, and as of August 2013 had been charged with attacking six women. In addition to the new charges, he already faced two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual assault, three counts of unlawful restraint and one count of harassment of a witness.
During the continuing investigation, two more victims came forward, police said.
Prosecutors claim Oliver met each on Craigslist, and allegedly assaulted them after they met at pre-arranged locations, police said.
And Woodstock police believe there may be other victims. Anyone with information should call police at (815) 338-2131.
