Two more days of heat in Chicago

Sunny and low humidity on Wednesday

CHICAGO (CBS) — Hazy skies and warmer-than-normal temperatures continue in Chicagoland as we track Hurricane Francine moving northward into Louisiana.

A quickly weakening Francine will increase cloud cover locally on Thursday, filtering out the sunshine and adding to the hazy effect of lingering wildfire smoke. High temperatures will again rise well into the 80s with breezy east winds.

The remnants of the hurricane failed to get close enough to our area this weekend to overcome the very dry air. While skies will be mostly cloudy Friday through Sunday, very little rain is expected to fall locally.

Tomorrow: Increasing clouds. Hazy and breezy. High: 86
