Tom Brady Finds Great Delight In Patriots' 51-Point Outburst
(CBS) The Patriots hung 51 points on the Bears in a blowout victory on Sunday afternoon in Foxborough. It was the most points Chicago had allowed since, well, late last season, when a defense that set franchise records for futility played poorly in a 54-11 loss to Philadelphia on Dec. 22.
The 38 points that New England scored in the first half was the most Chicago had ever allowed in franchise history. On Monday morning, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady -- who completed 30 of 35 passes for 354 yards and five touchdowns -- took great delight in the victory.
"I love the way that the guys are playing," Brady said on Boston radio. "It's been a lot of fun to be out there. Yesterday was one of the most fun days we've ever had on the football field."
On Sunday evening, Brady also found time to relish in the 51-point performance. His wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, posted a photo on Instagram in which they celebrated the big offensive outburst.
