Tillman: 'I Guarantee I Will Retire As A Bear'
(WSCR) -- Charles Tillman doesn't know what the future holds.
His contract is up with the Chicago Bears and there's no guarantee he will be back.
But there's no question he wants to be back. Tillman said on 670 The Score Wednesday evening that he talks to the Bears "everyday" and has no ill will toward the organization.
"The Bears and I are in good spirits," he said on The Laurence Holmes Show. "There's no bad blood, there's nothing. We are in good spirits. There's no bad blood with myself or Coach Trestman. Like, everything is good. We're are all on good terms."
There has been speculation that Tillman will want to leave the Bears to go play for Lovie Smith in Tampa Bay, but the cornerback insists he wants to end his playing career in Chicago."In a perfect world, I will finish as a Bear," Tillman said. "I guarantee you I will retire as a Chicago Bear. I guarantee that."
Tillman, who turned 33 next month, played through a knee injury in 2013 before his season was eventually cut short by a torn triceps injury.
