Tigers-White Sox Game Postponed Due To Rain
(CBS) Tonight's Tigers-White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field has been postponed due to rain.
Detroit's Justin Verlander had been scheduled to face Chicago's John Danks. The foes are still scheduled to square off Wednesday and Thursday, and the White Sox announced Danks will now pitch Wednesday while ace Chris Sale will go Thursday. Andre Rienzo had been scheduled to start Wednesday, but he's been pushed back and will throw this weekend against the Royals instead.
No make-up date has been announced yet, though it doesn't appear it will be in this series.
The White Sox are currently 3 1/2 game behind the AL Central-leading Tigers and expressed confidence after last night's 6-5 win.
