Thousands Run Downtown In Hot Chocolate 15k And 5k
(CBS) -- Thousands of people came downtown this chilly November morning to run or walk - and then eat.
40,000 people participated in the 7th annual Hot Chocolate 15k and 5k and then enjoyed hot chocolate and fondue afterwards in Grant Park, according to race organizers.
There was also a 3k walk geared towards kids and families that benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities and Little City Foundation.
Several runners who spoke to WBBM say this race is known for its goodie bag that includes a hoodie and the sweet treats afterwards.
