CHICAGO (CBS) -- With news this week that the Cubs' owners have bought up six more rooftop properties, let's take a look at that view back in a simpler time, before it became a high-priced commodity.

Yes, back in the 1980s, fans simply gathered some lawn furniture and took in the game.

Now, with battles over jumbo screens and rights to make money off somebody's else's product notwithstanding, the rooftop experience is certainly much more elaborate. Patio chairs have been replaced by "extra wide" stadium seating. Coolers of beer and sandwiches, overtaken by a variety of taps and full, restaurant menus.
