The Rolling Stones tour coming to Chicago's Soldier Field in June
CHICAGO (CBS/AP) -- The Rolling Stones are coming to Chicago in June, and it's a tour stop you don't want to miss.
The Solider Field show is scheduled for June 27, 2024.
The band recently released their first album of new music in nearly 20 years. The band has released several albums in recent years of live and remastered versions of older material, but the new one, named "Hackney Diamonds," is the first album of new music since the band's 2005 album "A Bigger Bang."
The Stones' Hackney Diamonds Tour '24 will feature their most popular hits, as well as new tracks from the latest album.
The Stones will make their way across the U.S. and Canada on the Stones Hackney Diamonds Tour. The tour begins on April 28, 2024, in Houston and concludes in Santa Clara, California, on July 17.
The tour will make stops in New Orleans; Glendale, Arizona; Las Vegas; Seattle; East Rutherford, New Jersey where the New York Giants and Jets play; Foxboro, Massachusetts where the New England Patriots play; Orlando, Florida; Atlanta, Philadelphia; Cleveland; Denver; Vancouver; and Los Angeles.
The Stones will be doubling back to Chicago in June to play for one night between the Denver and Vancouver shows.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on Dec. 1. You can sign up for a presale ticket and code by Tuesday, Nov. 28, and the presale goes live Wednesday, Nov. 29.
The Stones last performed across the U.S. in 2021 for their No Filter tour, marking the first time the band had toured without drummer Charlie Watts since 1963. Watts, the self-effacing and unshakeable Rolling Stones drummer who helped anchor one of rock's greatest rhythm sections, died in August 2021. He was 80.
Mick Jagger told "CBS Sunday Morning" the band is still getting used to performing without Watts.
"Ever since I was 19 or whatever, it's always been Charlie," Jagger said.
