The 10 Biggest Revenue-Generating Companies In Illinois

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Archer Daniels Midland Co. is the biggest revenue generator among all Illinois-based companies, according to recent state-by-state breakdown.
In a recent blog post, Broadview Networks created a map showing the biggest companies in each state using data from Hoover's, a D&B company.
ADM, which is based in Decatur, topped the state with $89.8 billion in revenues.
Chicago-based Boeing was second with $86.6 billion. The airline maker has a main manufacturing facility in Washington state, but the company moved its headquarters here more than 10 years ago.
The drug-store chain Walgreen Co., which is based in north suburban Deerfield, ranked No. 3 with 72.2 billion.
The biggest money-maker in the United States, according to the data, is Wal-Mart with $476 billion in revenue.
In fact, Wal-Mart is the second biggest company in the world in terms of revenue.
