Teen shot in lakefront parking lot on Chicago's North Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teen was shot and wounded in a lakefront parking lot in the Rogers Park neighborhood Friday evening.
At 8:42 p.m., the 18-year-old man was standing in the parking lot along Touhy Avenue east of Sheridan Road when someone came up and shot him, police said.
The teen was struck in the right side of his torso and was taken to Ascension St. Francis Hospital in fair condition.
Leone Park is located right to the north of the parking lot where the shooting happened, Loyola Park right to the south. The parking lot is steps from the Lake Michigan shoreline.
No one was in custody late Friday night in the shooting. Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
