Suspicious Package Detonated Outside Lombard Village Hall Deemed Non-Threatening
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police blocked off the entrances to the police station and village hall in Lombard Tuesday morning due to a suspicious package in the area.
The package was found before open hours, and the campus was closed at the time, according to the village.
Police contained the area, and the DuPage Bomb Squad was called in and safely detonated the package
The package was later deemed non-threatening.
There is no threat to the community, village officials said.
