Suspect Found With Gun After Downtown Traffic Stop, Foot Chase, Police Say

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A traffic stop for police ended with a foot chase right in the Loop Tuesday night.

Officers said they pulled over a Kia Optima after they saw the driver keep reaching under his seat.

At that point, officers ordered two passengers out of the car and the driver took off police said.

Officers said they caught up with the driver at Dearborn and Madison streets and found a handgun.

Charges were pending late Tuesday.
