Surveillance Photos Released Of Car Wanted In Fatal Hit-And-Run

(CBS) -- Chicago police have released more surveillance photos of a vehicle they say struck and killed a five-year-old girl last month in the Gage Park neighborhood.

Police describe the vehicle as a dark sedan with a sunroof and spoiler. Police say it may also have a front-end bra, sport muffler and a broken lamp.

Maria Gonzalex, 5, was killed right outside of her home in the 5900 block of South Mozart at about 3:15 p.m. on May 23. Family said she darted into the street to an ice cream truck when she was struck by the vehicle.

Witnesses say the driver not only didn't stop, he never even slowed down. The car was last seen traveling westbound on 60th St. from mMzart.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police Major Accidents Investigations Unit at (312) 745-4521.
