Friday will feature gusty winds thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Helene moving into the mid-South. Gusts on Friday could top 40 miles per hour in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Highs on Friday will be in the mid-70s. Gusty winds will create dangerous lakeshore conditions with waves potentially as high as 10 feet on Friday and Saturday.

Moisture associated with what's left of Helene will move into the Chicago area this weekend, producing chances for showers both Saturday and Sunday.
