Summer-like warmth continues in Chicago this weekend

Summer-like weather continues this weekend in Chicago area

CHICAGO (CBS) — It's been unseasonably warm and dry for a while thanks to a dominant ridge of high pressure parked overhead.

This will block any systems from heading our way. CBS News Chicago Meteorologist Mary Kay Kleist expects 80 degrees in spots both Sunday and Monday.

The next front attempts to cross our area Wednesday early in the morning. Really only clouds along it. A tiny shower chance may follow the frontal passage on Wednesday.

Then, expect a warmer than normal temperature trend.
