Suburban Man Killed After Fall From Catwalk During Concert At Aragon Ballroom
(CBS) -- Chicago police are investigating the impaling death of a suburban man during a concert Friday night at the Aragon Ballroom, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
The local band Chevelle was about halfway through their show when it was stopped for what was called a medical emergency.
Band members could see police in the balcony area while they were performing and when they were forced to stop the show, most were not aware that a 24-year-old man had fallen from a catwalk where he wasn't supposed to be and became impaled on something metal.
The victim is identified as Kyle Kirchoff of Hanover Park.
Police are conducting a death investigation. At this point, there is no suggestion of foul play.
