Student Says School Bus Driver Watched "50 Shades Of Grey" On Phone While Driving

(CBS) -- A suburban elementary school is investigating after students say a school bus driver watched "50 Shades of Grey" on a phone and the audio was played over the bus speakers.

CBS 2's Brad Edwards spoke to one of the students who heard it. Edwards was told the bus driver has been removed, but one parent is worried other parents haven't been alerted.

"I seen them climbing into bed together and then I heard moaning," said Kayle Blaingame, 10-year-old fourth grader at Highlands Elementary School in Hazel Crest.

"That bothers me every time she says that," said Lamia Blasingame, Kayla's mother.

Kayla says the sounds were coming from the bus speakers and the driver "kept looking at the phone" while she was driving.

"I thought it was porn but when she started explaining to me and the detective, we kind of went toward that movie," Lamia Blasingame said.

The movie is still in theaters, a tour de erotica complete with bondage, S & M…a brooding sexual blockbuster.

The bus company, Positive Connections of Markham, confirms an investigation, but wouldn't elaborate further or return later calls.

"It's disturbing," said Lamia Blasingame. "Any time you have children dealing with a sexual matter and nothing is being done about or it resolved with the parents, that's disturbing."

The school wouldn't tell CBS 2 whether or not they informed parents. They did tell us, "the matter is being handled by the bus company."
