Student among 2 hurt in school bus crash in Waukegan, Illinois
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two people, including an elementary school student, were hurt when a school bus collided with a car Wednesday afternoon in northwest suburban Elgin.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. near Todd Farm Drive and Braeburn Drive. A School District U-46 school bus carrying 37 students in kindergarten through 6th grade collided with a passenger vehicle.
One student on the bus and the driver of the passenger vehicle were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
