Police issue alert of multiple strong-arm robberies minutes apart in West Town

CHICAGO (CBS) – Police are issuing a warning to people in the West Town neighborhood of recent robberies that happened minutes apart over the weekend.
The crimes happened on Friday and Saturday. Each one happened within an hour.
Chicago police say the victims were walking alone when they were approached by two to four men who used physical force to take their belongings.
In one of the crimes, a knife was displayed, police said.

· 2200 block of West Superior Street on Dec. 2, 2022, at 7:11 p.m.
· 800 block of North California Avenue on Dec. 2, 2022, at 7:18 p.m.
· 1200 block of West Race Avenue on Dec. 2, 2022, at 7:45 p.m.
· 1500 block of West Walton Street on Dec. 3, 2022, from 7:45 p.m. to 7:55 p.m.
· 1800 block of West Hubbard Street on Dec. 3, 2022, at 8:00 p.m.
· 2100 block of West Ohio Street on Dec. 3, 2022, at 8:07 p.m.
· 1400 block of West Superior Street on Dec. 3, 2022, at 8:20 p.m.
· 700 block of North Hoyne Avenue on Dec. 3, 2022, at 8:30 p.m.
Police didn't have physical descriptions of the suspects but said they are African American men between 18-25 years of age, wearing dark clothing and dark-colored ski masks.
