Storms may return Friday night in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS)—A front moving through the area Friday night could bring a few showers and storms to the Chicago area.
The warning for the Indiana counties of Newton and Jasper expired at 6:15 p.m.
The best chance for a storm is in areas south of Chicago, in the Kankakee River Valley, and in Northwest Indiana. Otherwise, expect a mostly cloudy sky with lows in the mid-60s.
Mostly sunny and less humid for Saturday. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s.
A stronger front arrives on Sunday morning, pushing highs to the mid-70s. The front will also produce strong winds out of the north, building the waves over Lake Michigan.
A beach hazard with dangerous swimming and boating conditions will be in effect all Sunday and much of Monday, Labor Day.
Monday will be breezy, with highs in the low 70s and low humidity.
Calm weather for most of next week, with the return of humid conditions and shower chances by next Friday.
