Steve Dahl Returning To Radio On WLS-AM: Report

CHICAGO (CBS) -- After six years off the radio, broadcast legend Steve Dahl will be returning to the airwaves on WLS-AM 890.

In an exclusive report on his media blog, Robert Feder wrote that the deal may be announced this week.

Dahl would replace Roe Conn and Richard Roeper, whose contracts are up at the end of the year, Feder reported.

Conn and Roeper have not commented but posted the following on Twitter:

Dahl left the air in 2008 when CBS Radio (at the time he was on WJMK 104.3 FM) bought out his contract, paying him to stay off radio through 20011.

He has since been doing a 90-minute podcast for a subscription. The podcast will continue, Feder reported.

Recently, Dahl blasted WGN-AM as "the worst radio station ever." The attack seems to make more sense now that the two will be rivals.
