Southwest Offer On Overbooked Chicago-Pittsburgh Flight Met With 'Howls Of Laughter'
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Here's a not-so-hypothetical exercise: You are on an overbooked, midafternoon Southwest flight to Pittsburgh, hours before the Cubs and Pirates play.
The airline offers you an option: $300 and take the next flight, which arrives at 8:15 p.m.
First pitch in the NL wild-card game is shortly after 8 p.m. ET
What do you do?
David Axelrod, former Obama confidante and current director at the U. of C. Institute of Politics, has the answer, in this tweet.
.On overbooked SW flight to Pittsburgh filled w/@Cubs fans. Offer of $300 to take next flight, arriving at 8:15, met with howls of laughter.

For the record, Axelrod likes the Cubs' chances behind Jake Arrieta's arm.
