Skokie Cops Search For Man Who Attacked Senior On Yellow Line
SKOKIE, Ill. (STMW) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a senior citizen on a CTA Yellow Line train in late March.
The man boarded the train and began yelling at passengers about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, March 28, according to a statement from Skokie police.
The man allegedly directed a comment toward the senior citizen, who told the man to leave him alone.
Then man then approached the senior citizen and pulled his jacket over his head before punching and kicking him, police said.
The victim suffered "severe bruising" and was taken to a local hospital as a result of the incident, police said.
The suspect is described as an Asian man who is 22 to 27 years old, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6, and weighing 140 pounds.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a red iron cross logo on the front, a black jacket with logos on the upper sleeves of both arms and the letter "A" on the back of the jacket with an animal logo on the front, black jeans and black gym shoes, police said. He boarded the train with a purple and white bicycle.
