Skeletal remains found under Kennedy Expressway in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Illinois State Police on Sunday were investigating skeletal remains found near the Kennedy Expressway.

At 12:22 p.m., Chicago Police called troopers around the bones, which were found on the Kennedy Expressway embankment next to the northwest-bound lanes at Webster Avenue.

The scene is at the edge of the Bucktown neighborhood, right down the street from Whirlyball Chicago.

State Police said the investigation remained in its infancy Sunday night and there were no further details to report.
