Showers, patchy fog overnight in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — The heaviest rain in the Chicago area fell across Kendall County on Saturday as downpours drifted east at only about 5 mph. Rainfall totals were impressive with 2 inches to 4 inches area wide.
Finally, conditions will be drier for the rest of the weekend. Spotty drizzle tapers off overnight Sunday, and fog develops. Some areas could have poor visibility Sunday morning, but clouds should break for some sun by the afternoon.
The dry weather will be short-lived as the next storm complex heads toward the area to start the work week. It will be warm and humid with scattered storms Monday afternoon through Wednesday.
