Shooting on Eisenhower Expressway shuts down westbound lanes in Chicago's west suburbs

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The westbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway have been shut down as Illinois State Police investigate a shooting on the expressway.

Police said, around 6:45 p.m., troopers responded to an expressway shooting in the westbound lanes of Interstate 290 near Lake Street in Elmhurst.

A vehicle was struck by gunfire, but no injuries have been reported.

Police said the westbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway were shut down at Lake Street as police investigate.
