Storm threat for the Chicago area

CHICAGO (CBS) — A slim threat of a severe thunderstorm continues Monday evening as a disturbance clips just northwest of our area in Wisconsin.

While most communities will remain dry, isolated storms with wind damage and heavy rain are possible.

Tuesday looks to be another unseasonably warm day, with near-record morning temperatures near 70 degrees and afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Another disturbance moving our way looks to produce late-day showers and thunderstorms more successfully, which may last into Wednesday morning. There is another marginal one-out-of-five risk of a severe storm.

A cold front moves through Wednesday, bringing cooler-than-normal and breezy conditions late this week. The upcoming weekend looks mainly dry and very comfortable.
