Several Mild And Sunny Days Ahead For Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's going to be a great weekend to put up your holiday decorations, with mostly clear skies and temperatures well above normal through the weekend, and well into next week.

While dense fog blanketing parts of the far southern suburbs and northwest Indiana was expected to last until early around noon Friday, skies should clear and temperatures should rise into the upper 40s by mid-afternoon.

Saturday should be especially mild, with a high of about 52 in Chicago – which is 14 degrees above normal for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday's temperatures will be slightly cooler, with a high of about 48, but mild and mostly dry conditions should continue through Thursday, with highs in the upper 40s each day, and minimal chances for precipitation until Wednesday.
