Seven Injured In Multi-Vehicle Lake Shore Drive Accident

(CBS) -- Seven people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash late Friday night, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The accident involving two cars and an out-of-service CTA bus happened on Lake Shore Drive near 31st Street at approximately 11:30 p.m.
The CTA says the bus was on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive waiting for a tow when it was hit by another driver and at least one other vehicle was damaged.
A total of seven people were transported to Northwestern and Mercy hospitals, most in stable condition with at least one critical.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
