September summer-like weather continues in Chicago for the weekend

CHICAGO (CBS)—A stagnant weather pattern featuring warmer-than-normal, dry conditions will remain in place through at least the end of next week.

We expect a mix of sun and clouds this weekend, with only an isolated sprinkle west of Chicago on Saturday afternoon. High temperatures will be beach-worthy, edging close to 90 degrees on Sunday.

Temperatures remain 10 degrees above normal, with dry weather through the entirety of the next work week.

To date, Chicago has only received 3% of its normal September rainfall. Continued dry weather will lead to dusty yards and a higher risk of grass fires.
