Semi Hauling Powdered Milk Jackknifes On Dan Ryan
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A semi truck carrying 42,000 pounds of powdered milk jackknifed on the Dan Ryan Expressway Thursday morning, blocking the ramp to 47th Street for about an hour during the morning commute.
The crash happened about 5:15 a.m. on outbound Interstate 90/94 at 47th Street, according to Illinois State Police.
The driver was taken to a hospital with "minor injuries," according to state police.
The ramp to 47th Street was closed after the crash, but was expected to reopen by 6:30 a.m., state police said.
