The 21-year-old woman and her two year old nephew disappeared on Saturday.

Today, Gary police were expanding the search. About 60 officers from several departments will search a 20 block area in west Gary, knocking on doors and searching abandoned buildings.

The woman, Diamond Bynum, only has the mental capacity of a seven year old, family members said.

She may not be familiar with the area. Her family moved to Gary in February.
