Saint Sabina Church hosting food giveaway Thursday afternoon

CHICAGO (CBS) – Neighbors helping neighbors: That's the mission of a big food giveaway Thursday in Chicago's Auburn Gresham community.

Saint Sabina catholic church gave out 400 boxes of food to families. Organizers said they were full of healthy items, including fresh fruit, veggies and protein.

Father Michael Pfleger said just one way to help people get back on their feet. He said families in Black and Brown communities in Chicago have been neglected for far too long, and he said the Saint Sabina food giveaway is one way to help.
