Ron Harper Is Having None Of The 'Warriors Could Be Better Than 72-Win Bulls' Talk

(CBS) Former Chicago guard and Michael Jordan running mate Ron Harper is having none of this talk that this season's Warriors could potentially be better than that 1995-'96 Bulls that set an NBA record by winning 72 regular-season games.

As the defending champion Warriors have blitzed to an 12-0 start -- two games better than the '95-'96 Bulls' 10-2 start -- debate has increased as to whether Golden State could make a serious run at reaching or eclipsing a 72-10 mark.

Just more than a week ago, Harper tweeted that the '95-'96 Bulls would sweep these Warriors.

Since then, Harper has admitted the Warriors might win once in a seven-game series, but he hasn't backed down in his beliefs, as you might expect.

As of now, Harper does seem to be done with the original debate, saying it's old news in another tweet. The only problem with Harper's request is that the talk of the Warriors making a run at the best regular-season record could just be beginning. If they stay hot, this talk will certainly last until mid-April when the regular season ends.

Harper started and averaged 7.4 points per game for the '95-'96 Bulls, who went 15-3 in the playoffs en route to the title.
