Road-Tripping Cubs Fans Celebrate On Way Back To Chicago

(CBS) Cubs fans who made the trip to Cleveland for the World Series didn't wait until they got home to celebrate the team's championship.

CBS 2's Dana Kozlov followed the party all the way back to Chicago.

They're in a parking lot, and these Cub fans don't care. The ride back to Chicago for many Cubs fans means time to celebrate with strangers.

"We're all family, still in shock over all this," Drew Sakes of Chesterton, Ind. said. "It still hasn't sunk in."

Cubs fan John Ho wasn't shy about waving his W flag.

"I wish I had a bigger one," he told Kozlov.

The camaraderie makes the long trek back from the Cubs' historic World Series win in Cleveland much more fun.

"Anybody that has anything Cubs – we're just honking," Chicagoan Kevin Phing said.
