Two People On Divvy Bikes Injured In River North Drive-By Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A shooting in Chicago's River North neighborhood Saturday night left two people who had been riding Divvy bikes hospitalized.

One of the victims, a 21-year-old man, told police detectives he was riding a Divvy bike with a group of about 20 people at Erie and Clark streets around 2:30 a.m., when a some people in a light- and dark- colored vehicle began shooting at them.

CBS 2 crews found several Divvy bikes left near the scene.

The man was shot in the right leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition. But an 18-year-old woman was taken to Northwestern in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the back.

No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
