Report: Ted Lilly Charged With Insurance Fraud
(CBS) Cubs front office member and former pitcher Ted Lilly has been charged with insurance fraud in California, according to a report from KSBY-TV.
Lilly pleaded not guilty to three charges that each involved vehicle insurance fraud, per the report. He could face up to five years in jail if convicted. The Cubs haven't commented on the situation.
Lilly pitched for Chicago from 2007-'10. He currently serves as a special assistant to the team's front office.
