BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) -- A suspect was in custody Monday afternoon after a fatal shooting at a home in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.

Police said officers were called to a home in the 300 block of Walnut Circle shortly before 2 p.m. for a report of a person shot.

The victim, 33-year-old Devon D. Davis was found in the home, and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Early indications are that the shooting was the result of a family argument and is not a random act," police said in a press release.

Police said the suspected shooter left the home before officers arrived, and was later found and arrested in Will County. Charges were pending Monday afternoon.

The shooting prompted police to request people who live in the area to stay indoors, and for all Bolingbrook schools to shelter in place. Those shelter-in-place orders have since been lifted.
