Report: Car Registered To Lance Briggs Crashes Into Chicago Building

(CBS) A Porsche registered to former Bears linebacker Lance Briggs crashed into a bartending school on Chicago's northwest side, according to TMZ Sports.

The report states that the incident occurred on Wednesday at 5:40 a.m., but no confirmation was given as to whether Briggs was the driver of the vehicle.

Briggs responded to the TMZ tweet with a statement of denial.

Briggs hasn't been arrested, and Chicago police told TMZ Sports that no warrant has been issued for the arrest of Briggs. Police are investigating the incident.

In August 2007, Briggs was charged for abandoning the scene of an accident after crashing his Lamborghini along the Edens Expressway.

Briggs last played football in 2014 and has officially retired from the game after going unsigned during the 2015 offseason.
