Waves of rain for Election Day in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — Following more than two inches of rain in parts of Illinois and Indiana since Monday night, rain showers clear the area after the polls close Tuesday evening. Cooler air blows in behind a cold front.

High temperatures Wednesday drop to more typical November levels in the 50s under mostly cloudy skies. A few lake effect sprinkles are possible in northwest Indiana, but rain is unlikely overall.
