Prosecutors: Drunk Man Damaged Police SUV After Being Kicked Out Of Wrigley
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An intoxicated man thrown out of the Chicago Cubs home opener Friday was arrested after allegedly pushing a newspaper stand onto a police SUV outside of Wrigley Field.
The man's fit of rage didn't get him too far, Cook County prosecutors said Saturday.
Nicholas A. Spadaro allegedly fell face first onto a sidewalk after the incident.
Spadaro, "in a rage," pushed a newspaper stand into an unmarked Chicago Police SUV, denting the passenger rear door shortly after noon, according to his arrest report. After the push, Spadaro, 38, fell face first onto the sidewalk, leaving him with cuts and bruises.
Judge Laura Sullivan ordered Spadaro held in lieu of $30,000 bail for felony criminal damage to property.
Spadaro was arrested at 12:20 p.m., an hour before the first pitch.
