Pritzker lights menorah Friday for early Hanukkah celebration

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Governor JB Pritzker is kicking off the state's Hanukkah celebration a bit early.

He lit the menorah Friday morning at the Bilandic Building at 10 a.m.

The festival of lights starts on Sunday night and lasts for eight days. 

"To Jewish people throughout Illinois and across the globe, 'chag sameach,' and may your Hanukkah be filled with miracles," Pritzker said.
