Police Warn Of North Side Home Burglaries

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents on the North Side after three recent home burglaries in the Lakeview and Uptown neighborhoods.

In each incident, burglars entered apartments by force or through unlocked doors, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Two apartments were burglarized between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 900 block of West Dakin and the 900 block of West Irving Park, police said. Another apartment was burglarized about 11 a.m. Feb. 16 in the 3600 block of North Fremont.

From the incident on Fremont, the offender was described as a white male wearing black rimmed glasses, police said.
