12 Charged After Gunshot Fired At River North Hotel

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A gunshot was fired early Sunday at a River North hotel, leading to 12 people, including two teenagers, facing charges, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responded about 3:30 a.m. to a call of shots fired at the hotel in the first block of East Grand, police said.

Hotel security directed the officers to the room, where they found between about a dozen people gathered inside, police said.

The investigation revealed that someone in the room opened fire and a bullet struck several walls, including one in an adjacent guest suite, police said. No injuries were reported.

Three handguns were found in the room, police said.

Terraniqua Snow, 24, had rented the room for a party with an unauthorized number of guests, according to police. She was charged with reckless conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

Two teenage boys, whose identities weren't released because they're juveniles, and the following 9 people were all charged with one count of criminal trespass:

  • Caleb Roby, 20, of Chicago;
  • Kavaris Wilson, 19, of Chicago;
  • Terence Vickers, 22, of Chicago;
  • Jaquail Brown, 18, of Chicago;
  • Terrion Morris, 23, of Chicago;
  • Shamond Armstead, 23, of Chicago;
  • Teron Gulley, of Chicago;
  • Shyquan Snow, 22, of Chicago; and
  • Jazmine Pickett-Clark, 22, of Chicago.

All of the adults charged with crimes were next scheduled to appear in court Feb. 20.
