Police Questioned Person Of Interest In Murder Of 9-Year-Old Boy
(CBS) -- Chicago Police talked to a person of interest in the murder of nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee, CBS 2's Mai Martinez reports.
The person of interest walked into a Chicago Police station with an attorney to be questioned by detectives Wednesday afternoon. That person was later released.
Lee was fatally wounded in an alley near 80th and Damen Monday afternoon. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body. Sources tell CBS 2 that Lee may have been lured into the alley.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the male person of interest most likely knew police were looking for him.
Complicating the investigation is the fact that Tyshawn Lee's father, who according to police is a documented gang member, is not cooperating.
There is a $35,000 reward for information leading to the boy's killer.
